Explore the Pioneer Valley!

The Blue Sox start their 9th baseball season in the Pioneer Valley this June, the team plays at MacKenzie Stadium in Holyoke. They are a team in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (some people refer to these leagues as “farm teams,” as they raise players to then be drafted). The Blue Sox players come from college programs across the country, some are then contracted to play in the MLB. Players from this “farm team” are typically drafted to play for the Red Sox, White Sox, Brewers, Nationals, Braves, Blue Jays, Tigers, Angels and Mariners. On June 18th the stadium will be having a Star Wars night and on June 24th there will be a firework show. The stadium is located at 500 Beech St in Holyoke and tickets cost $6 for adults.
